Full Job Description
Summary
The Senior Project Manager reports to the Division Manager and is responsible for the financial performance and client satisfaction across multiple projects within Kent Companies• National Mission Critical Division. This division delivers turnkey concrete construction services for Mission Critical, Advanced Manufacturing, and Data Center facilities across the United States. The Senior Project Manager sets and drives project goals for Safety, Quality, and Productivity (SQP), supports division specific initiatives, mentors project teams, and contributes to business planning and overall performance. This role ensures jobsite safety through strong partnerships and the consistent application of Kent Companies• hallmarks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Project Lead, Pre-Construction, and other stakeholders to develop project plans.
  • Ensure all project information is accurate and delivered on time.
  • Create preliminary project schedules and budgets.
  • Perform project setup, including contract review, cost codes, and logs for POs and submittals.
  • Manage accurate and organized takeoffs.
  • Communicate key updates, solutions, and opportunities to the team.
  • Monitor daily job costs and quantities against budget.
  • Generate and manage change orders aligned with customer expectations.
  • Oversee job start-up, execution, and detailed closeout processes.
  • Maintain accountability for project cost, schedule, cash flow, and safety.
  • Direct or oversee project staff and foster strong client relationships.
  • Oversee technical record submittals and risk management practices.
  • Support training, certification efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to division and project-level planning and performance.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 6+ years of concrete construction experience, with 2+ years focused in mission critical facilities. Or, 8+ years of Concrete construction-related experience without a degree.
  • 4+ years of project management and estimating experience with a large-scale self-perform GC or concrete contractor.
  • Proven experience in self-performed concrete work.
  • Experience with large scale Mission Critical, Data Center, or Advanced Manufacturing Facilities.
  • Familiarity with projects exceeding $10 million in value.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Background in estimating, bidding, and proposal development.
  • Must be comfortable with national travel • 50%.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the workplace and job locations.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check related to driving.
  • Ability to pass drug screening.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Experience, Education, and Experience
A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or the like is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demand
This position works in an office environment; occasionally traveling to the field to supervise projects as required. This position requires long periods of sitting.

Position type, travel, and expected hours of work
This is a full-time position. This role involves a standard full-time schedule with additional time required to meet project demands and to meet project demands. This role requires the ability to work nontypical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during nontypical workdays and hours is also necessary.
