Responsibilities

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for achieving the project's objectives. S/he works closely with the Project
Sales Lead, Project Sponsor, and Project Team to define the project objectives and create and execute a plan for
achieving those objectives. The Sr. Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational
environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be used. The Sr. Project Manager
must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership
qualities, and can adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed project environment. The Sr. Project
Manager is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction and project success.

PRIMARY DUTIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty
satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.

1. Responsible for the project site safety
- Develop and implement the site-specific safety strategy for all phases of the project.
- Ensure all personnel and subcontractors follow Schneider Electric safe work practices and any
customer-specific safety requirements.
- Oversee the Site Management Team's implementation of the safety plan.
- Lead or participate in job hazard analyses, project risk assessments, and ongoing site safety audits.
2. Responsible for customer satisfaction
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by proactively identifying and meeting client needs.
- Lead and facilitate customer meetings, including project updates, feedback loops, meeting minutes, and scope
coordination discussions.
3. Responsible for meeting scope, schedule, resource, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management
Plan
- Obtain, organize, and maintain all projects, contracts, and permitting documents.
- Receive and review project documentation from the Sales/Development team for accurate project handoff.
- Create and manage the project schedule, integrating subcontractor activities and internal workstreams.
- Prepare forecasting updates, schedule of values, and billing-related documentation.
4. Lead the Project Management Team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan
- Schedule and conduct project coordination meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and
design partners.
- Coordinate all project stakeholders to execute contracted scope with alignment across mechanical, electrical,
BAS controls, and selective GC activities.
5. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget

- Procure subcontractors and vendors, including contract agreements, scope reviews, pricing evaluations, and
change-order approvals.
- Maintain the project change order log and verify documentation accuracy.
- Manage billing and accounts receivables in alignment with project financials and contract terms.
6. Collaborate with functional managers and organizational leadership to secure appropriate project resources
- Plan, schedule, and forecast manpower needs throughout project phases.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate project personnel to support team capability and development.
7. Manage timely resolution of issues and escalate when appropriate
- Maintain the risk and issues log and ensure mitigation plans are executed through closure.
- Drive accountability for corrective actions and ensure risks are proactively managed.
8. Monitor the project and report project status routinely to management
- Prepare and update project schedules, cost re-estimates, and financial forecasts.
- Complete and deliver project status reporting at routine intervals.
- Responsible for ensuring all project documentation is completed and stored in the appropriate locations
9. Scope
- Large-sized projects with complex technical requirements; or a portfolio of multiple medium-complexity
projects requiring substantial coordination.
- Work includes performance contracting, design/build, renovation, mechanical/electrical upgrades, BAS
modernization, and selective GC responsibilities such as small ground-up structures, equipment pads, and
supporting construction trades.
10. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and customer
representatives.
- Support all financial processes related to project delivery, including change orders, billing, forecasting, bonds,
insurance, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Lead project financial and scope reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- General contracting responsibilities including coordination of sitework, structural concrete, small ground-up
elements, equipment support structures, and general trades required to support mechanical, electrical, and
building automation scopes.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Active Florida Certified General Contractor (CGC) license required.
• 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, performance contracting, and design/build project
management.
• Strong background in mechanical and electrical contracting, including energy-efficiency upgrades, system
modernization, and BAS/controls projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable building and construction codes and standards for the states
within the Southeast Region, as well as safety regulations, contract law, and formal contract procedures.
• Demonstrated financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and overall project
profitability management.
• Experience with ESCO, education, municipal, or public-sector project environments.
• Excellent leadership skills, including team building, servant leadership, delegation, mentorship, and the
ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and project/time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a
fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and Word; familiarity with
additional scheduling/project-management tools is a plus.
• Ability to interpret and apply construction codes, standards, and contract requirements effectively.
• Commitment to customer service excellence and fostering overall project and team success.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.

Travel:

Ability to travel greater than 75% within Florida and the Southeast Region. Normal work schedule is Mon-Fri
depending on project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional working hours on
weekends; however, this is typically scheduled in advance.

While performing the primary functions of the job, the employee is regularly exposed a general office environment.
During periods of project site visits, the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions as well as
mechanical equipment rooms, which could consist of confined spaces and loud noises. Employee may work in
different environments while on various job sites. This job requires work to be primarily performed on project sites
and thus will require greater than 75% travel to project sites. Normal work schedule is Mon-Thurs/Fri depending on
project requirements. Special project circumstances may require additional working hours on weekends; however,
this is typically scheduled in advance. Travel will occur using an automobile or by airplane to destinations.
