Title: Senior Project Manager, Public Opportunities

Type: Full Time, Exempt

Location: Reston, Virginia (Hybrid)

Reports to: Director, Utilities

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for leading and delivering large-scale heavy civil and public infrastructure projects from start to finish. This role oversees multiple active projects, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contract requirements, public agency standards, and company expectations.

The SPM plays a key leadership role in driving project performance, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, municipalities, and public agencies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat work and future opportunities.
  • Participate in progress meetings, presentations, and communications.
  • Use PM Software (InEight) to efficiently manage project production and budget


Required Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in cost control systems and construction management software.
  • Deep understanding of public contracts, specifications, and compliance requirement
  • Experience working on public contracts (3 years)
  • Experience with creating/managing schedules (3 years)
  • Ability to lead multiple teams and complex projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
