Why This Role Is Critical

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). This pivotal role goes beyond day-to-day execution to drive standardization, governance, and best practices across a portfolio of commercial engineering projects within the nuclear power industry. The ideal candidate will provide project leadership for complex projects while also mentoring junior project managers, refining PMO processes, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

What You'll Do Day-To-Day

  • PMO Leadership & Governance: Establish, maintain, and enforce PMO framework, methodologies, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
  • Strategic Project Oversight: Lead complex, high-impact commercial projects from initiation to close-out, managing scope, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Portfolio & Resource Management: Define and forecast resource skills, allocate materials/personnel, and optimize resource loading across the project portfolio.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary interface between project teams, senior management, and clients, ensuring transparency through regular reporting.
  • Process Improvement & Mentoring: Drive continuous process improvement (lessons learned) and provide coaching/mentoring to less experienced project managers.
  • Financial & Contractual Management: Oversee project financials, including the timely issuance/payment of invoices and management of change orders.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects meet all nuclear industry standards, regulatory requirements, and technical quality standards.


What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 10 years related experience, included is a minimum of 6 years of project-related experience, is required or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience in the nuclear power industry or related technical field (testing/servicing electrical/mechanical equipment) is required.
  • Experience working within or developing a Project Management Office (PMO) framework.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project and other project management tools for scheduling and tracking.
  • Excellent team building, problem identification, and root cause analysis skills.
  • PMP certification is a strong plus.

Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $133,000-$181,000 and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
