Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Project Manager that will serve as a dedicated, though not necessarily exclusive, project lead responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all projects under contract. This role serves as the single point of contact for coordinating all work and communication between the Contractor and the client.  Projects may include Contract Implementation and Migration, Agency-specific Implementation and Migration, and Post-Migration Steady State operations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Contractor and the client for all project-related activities.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all projects in accordance with contract terms, budget, schedule, and resource constraints.
  • Direct and coordinate contractor staff and resources to ensure timely and effective project execution.
  • Lead or participate in all workgroups or committees created by either Peraton or the client as required.
  • Maintain frequent and accurate project updates using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
  • Ensure all phases of the project lifecycle are conducted according to established project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Oversight of SLAs, KPIs, quality assurance, and incident management procedures
  • Ensures delivery of telecom and infrastructure services (MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewall, CPE deployment)
  • Managing agency-specific customization, onboarding and migration timelines

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High School diploma and 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to pass a Florida State Department background check
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-phase IT and network service projects.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project with the ability to provide detailed, up-to-date project documentation.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of E-Rate, Universal Service Fund (USF), and compliance driven delivery requirements
  • Knowledge of CPE deployment, circuit provisioning, and site migrations
  • Understanding of enterprise WAN architecture (e.g. MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, NOC/SOC operations)
  • Skilled in facilitating root cause analysis and corrective action plans (RCA/CAP)
  • Ability to manage internal project teams and third-party vendors or subcontractors
  • Leads cross-disciplinary teams engineering, NOC/SOC, field services, customer support, business ops
  • Has managed a large program over $30M with multiple vendors/suppliers

Certification (required – at least one of the following): 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI
  • Certified Scrum Master – Scrum Alliance
  • CompTIA Project+
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
  • Or another equivalent project management certification approved in writing by DMS.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working with public sector agencies or large government contracts.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications or network infrastructure projects.

 

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
