Position Description

US FUSION & Specialty Construction Job Summary: Responsible for estimating installation and fabrication projects in order to ultimately gain new business.

Responsible for forecasting and projecting project costs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary estimating of jobs/presentation of the Proposal
  • Sourcing /purchasing materials
  • Coordinating delivery
  • Compiling submittal information
  • Researching materials for application creativity
  • Maintaining resume, field, job, and archive files
  • Working with customer/USF field teams to profitably manage project
  • Posting all paper work/invoicing/change orders necessary to complete job.
  • Work with the customer to excel in presenting our services/products
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers as relates to providing estimates for projects
  • Understand all factors relating to estimates in order to ensure profitability is factored into information/estimates provided to customers
  • Process and manage customer orders
  • Manage drawings necessary to estimate, manage, and properly represent USF
  • Assist with set-up and management of customer accounts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Manage all aspects of a project in conjunction with all necessary parties (i.e. Construction Manager, Office Manager, etc)
  • Maintains computerized information necessary to perform with system
  • Considers raw materials, labor, equipment tools, labor and transportation for estimations
  • Assists in determinations of necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints
  • Gathers details and compiles data to estimates all sales costs based on specifications
  • Considers current economic conditions that may affect the Company's ability to sell its products or services in the marketplace


Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Cross-train with other departments as needed
  2. Participates in other duties as assigned by the other Managers
  3. Visit customers, jobsites, and other pertinent locations on behalf of USF


Position Requirements

Minimum Experience, Education, and Licensure:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management required
  • CAD capabilities
  • 5 years experience required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • TWIC - OSHA required


Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in M.S. Office software package
  • Versed in CAD software (AutoCAD)
  • Versed in scheduling software (Microsoft Project or Primavera P6)
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including computers, photocopiers, facsimile machines and printers
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Critical thinking / problem solving skills
  • Conveys a professional and positive image and attitude regarding US Fusion
  • Communicates with the field superintendents daily to coordinate project management
