Job Description:Our client is seeking a qualified
Project Manager to join its Project Management Office (PMO) in Oklahoma City. The Project Manager will work closely with the PMO team to leverage resources, improve efficiencies, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with overall objectives.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, completion, and closure of assigned projects under the guidance of the PMO. This individual will ensure projects align with our client's strategy, mission, commitments, and goals and will serve as a primary point of contact for agency resources and activities throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager will also manage vendor relationships and deliverables within project scope, remove project blockers, and escalate issues as needed.
Responsibilities- Manage medium- to extra-large-complexity projects through the full project lifecycle using appropriate project management methodologies, tools, planning, and communication practices.
- Acquire, develop, and manage project teams and resources necessary to successfully complete assigned projects.
- Perform standard project management activities, including defining scope and objectives, change management, risk mitigation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, vendor engagement, subject matter expert coordination, implementation, and project closure.
- Develop and manage project status reports for stakeholders and report key metrics for the PMO dashboard.
- Implement change management practices in accordance with organizational and PMO guidance.
- Forecast, manage, and acquire resources as necessary to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure project activities and deliverables comply with applicable federal, state, and organizational guidelines.
- Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation through closure.
- Routinely perform gap analysis and root-cause analysis and provide recommendations to support successful project outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate group activities, particularly in situations requiring an independent party to coordinate discussions and drive outcomes.
- Manage vendor relationships, project deliverables, risks, dependencies, and escalations throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Strong familiarity with and/or ability to use Microsoft Project.
- Understanding and experience with the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and Standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong multitasking capabilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Duration12 months with the option to renew.Location & ScheduleThis position is based in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and will work approximately
40 hours per week, typically between the standard working hours of
7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Overtime will not be approved.
The Project Manager is expected to work
onsite a minimum of three days per week, with additional onsite days required depending on project needs.
Interview ProcessQualified candidates will participate in
