OverviewWe are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in providing project management on higher education, commercial, and industrial projects. The position is for an experienced individual with a track record in all phases of project development and project management including managing design and engineering consultants, contractors, and collaborating with both municipal and private clients.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Delivery
- Lead a project team to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Assemble and manage internal and external project teams including planners, architects, consulting engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Lead the development of projects from inception to completion by defining scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with client strategic goals.
- Review and monitor design and construction documents from concept design through final completion, including review of change-management documents, for compliance with criteria, standards, and specifications on each project.
- Assist in the process of determining requirements for and lead the process of obtaining permits, entitlements, and other requirements of Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and business development.
Financial Management
- Develop, maintain, and report scope, schedule, and budget status throughout the project, including review and recommendation of all project invoices.
- Create and maintain, or monitor, comprehensive project documentation for project financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and planned resourcing.
- Review and approve generation of project invoices.
Business Development
- Develop and evaluate RFP's and contracts.
- Lead project acquisition efforts including identifying opportunities and working collaboratively with the Marketing team in preparing bids and interviews for jobs.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, or Facilities Management required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery methods including:
- Design-Bid-Build
- Design-Build
- Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)
- Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)
- In-depth knowledge of building and facilities design and construction projects.
- Desire and ability to work independently with excellent people skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively on large and diverse projects.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience.

Licenses and Certifications
- Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable but not required.
