JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Project Manager for Municipal Infrastructure at Ditesco, you will lead the design and construction of municipal utility infrastructure projects across northern Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead risk management across all project industry sectors to deliver world-class projects to Ditesco clients.
  • Implement, manage, and oversee all quality assurance and quality control programs on assigned projects.
  • Manage relationships with clients, industry and trade partners.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for contract management of various project types (GMP, Unit Price, Cost Plus, etc.).
  • Ensure leadership is kept fully informed on the condition of projects, the health of client relationships, and employees. Provide monthly reports on job profitability, risk, and status.
  • Provide senior leadership on assigned projects to successfully complete projects according to scope of services with a value-add approach.
  • Responsible for contract administration including proper administration of all assigned project/construction contracts and all project controls. Responsible for work products meeting company and industry quality standards.
  • Work with senior leadership/management team to strategically develop long-term plans for the organization around the growth and development of company initiatives. Actively participate in company planning/strategy meetings, retreats, and similar events focused on employee engagement and company success.
  • Identify new business opportunities. Meet business development goals. Responsible for the maintenance of existing client relationships and contracts.
  • Assist and/or manage the creation of proposals, business marketing pieces, and products that respond to requests for proposals or solicit new clientele.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Recruit, attract, retain, and motivate staff.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are updated and followed by each team member or assigned employee.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado licensure required.
  • 12 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, with an emphasis on project/construction management, risk management, and schedule control.
  • Experience in program, project and construction management with an emphasis on public projects.
  • Engineering design and project management for municipal, private or federal agency projects, specifically for water and sewer utilities. Water/Wastewater plant experience preferred.
  • Ability to compile engineering data and statistics; evaluate and generate reports.
  • Strong experience in budget preparation, proposals, and managing contracts and project costs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, clients, and the public.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building experience.
  • Experience managing small team of staff.


Salary range for this position is $135,000 to $165,000 per year; 26 pay periods.
