What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large‑scale, mission‑critical data center construction projects. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across project planning, scheduling, resource management, financial performance, and client relationships.
As a senior leader, this position collaborates across departments and oversees a team of project managers—setting the standard for quality, accountability, and ethical leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest performance standards.
Project Planning & Strategic Ingenuity
- Develop and lead comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for complex, mission‑critical data center projects.
- Strategically identify and allocate human and material resources to ensure optimal project execution while balancing risk, cost, and schedule.
- Lead, coordinate, and align multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors and internal partners, to drive consistency and performance.
- Establish clear expectations, assign responsibilities, and provide direction to ensure effective resource utilization and adherence to critical milestones.
- Continuously evaluate project risks, resolve issues decisively, and adapt plans as conditions change—demonstrating ingenuity and sound judgment at scale.
Quality Control & Craftsmanship
- Set and enforce rigorous quality control standards that reflect a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and reliability in mission‑critical environments.
- Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with clients, designers, field teams, and subcontractors to address quality concerns proactively.
- Monitor construction progress, lead regular status meetings, and ensure schedules are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely project documentation, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and integrity.
Budget Management & Financial Stewardship
- Lead oversight of project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and risk exposure, with a strong emphasis on responsible stewardship and value delivery.
- Review and negotiate client contracts, including scope, terms, schedules, and services, ensuring alignment and clarity for all stakeholders.
- Monitor optimal utilization of labor, materials, and equipment across large project teams and multiple workstreams.
- Quantify cost and schedule impacts associated with design or construction changes and communicate implications clearly and promptly to stakeholders.
Change Management Leadership
- Establish and oversee formal change management processes for large, mission‑critical projects.
- Evaluate, document, and communicate scope, schedule, and cost impacts of design and construction changes.
- Lead client negotiations related to change orders, ensuring alignment on revised deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Maintain rigorous change order logs and ensure all modifications are tracked through completion and commissioning.
Collaborative Leadership & Team Development
- Oversee and mentor a team of Project Managers, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
- Foster a positive, high‑performance culture grounded in safety, collaboration, accountability, and respect.
- Ensure all projects are executed with an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Client & Relationship Leadership
- Build and sustain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proactively address client needs and concerns, delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.
- Represent the company as a strategic partner focused on reliability, performance, and long‑term success.
Industry Engagement & Integrity
- Act as a senior brand ambassador, promoting the company’s values, expertise, and leadership within the electrical contracting and data center markets.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.

What You'll Bring
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced ability to perform due diligence and risk assessment on large, complex construction projects.
- Demonstrated ethical leadership and integrity with clients, partners, and internal teams.
- In‑depth knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
- Strong familiarity with mission‑critical infrastructure, including power distribution, redundancy systems, cooling infrastructure, and commissioning processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and align diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on project financial performance.
- Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites and remain highly engaged with field operations.
Demonstrated Accomplishments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, and Accubid.
- Proven success leading large‑scale electrical construction projects, preferably within mission‑critical or data center environments.
- Strong track record of building productive, long‑term relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety standards and best practices within electrical construction, with a commitment to leading by example.
Education & Experience
- Demonstrated success leading complex industrial and/or commercial electrical construction projects, with responsibility for overall project strategy, financial performance, quality, and team leadership.
- Extensive experience delivering mission‑critical or data center projects through planning, construction, change management, and commissioning is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of advanced education, technical training, and applied leadership experience will be considered.
What You'll Get
Working Conditions:
The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.
