We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of our Mission Critical / Data Centers practice. As a Project Manager, you will lead projects from initial planning and pursuit efforts through construction completion and closeout. You will be responsible for guiding project teams, managing client relationships, maintaining project performance metrics, and ensuring the successful execution of design objectives for mission critical and data center projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead all project phases from programming and concept design through construction administration
- Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, internal teams, and agencies
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams while promoting collaboration and professional growth
- Build strong client relationships and proactively address project goals and expectations
- Develop and manage schedules, staffing plans, financial forecasts, fees, and delivery strategies
- Support business development through proposals, scopes, fee planning, interviews, and contracts
- Maintain QA/QC standards across all project phases and deliverables
- Manage construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, bid coordination, site observations, and technical issue resolution
- Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions supporting schedule, budget, and design goals
- Monitor staffing, coordination, and project performance to ensure efficient resource management
- Promote sustainable, resilient, and high-performance design strategies where appropriate
- Participate in client presentations, interviews, and marketing initiatives supporting Mission Critical growth
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proven success leading large multidisciplinary teams on complex projects
- Strong experience managing schedules, staffing, consultant coordination, fees, budgets, and construction administration
- Thorough understanding of integrated project delivery, building systems, construction methods, codes and standards
- Experience overseeing comprehensive construction documentation and maintaining QA/QC standards
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship management skills
- Ability to mentor teams and build collaborative working relationships
- Strong business and operational acumen with proposal and client development experience
- Highly organized, adaptable, detail-oriented, and effective in deadline-driven environments
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in commercial architecture and design, including 2+ years of project management experience focused on Mission Critical or Data Center projects
- Current Architectural license required; NCARB certification and/or LEED Accreditation preferred
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$117,800.00 - $176,800.00 Annually
• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$126,400.00 - $189,600.00 Annually
• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$134,900.00 - $202,500.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
