SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager I and II to join our Power Delivery Services Group. Experience working within power, renewable energy, and storage with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Senior Project Manager will provide overall leadership direction to a project, including the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.

This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage overall financial health of projects
  • Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules
  • Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers
  • Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
  • Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices
  • Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings
  • Manage subcontracts and supplies, oversee budget and selections of trade partners
  • Handle billings, contract managements, and change orders
  • Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • Current driver's license
  • Basic understanding of construction law and business practices
  • Ability to travel up to 100%
  • Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
  • Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
  • Preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.
  • Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level


Senior Project Manager I

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 8 years of construction management or related experience

The base pay range for this role is $144,300- $216,500

Senior Project Manager II

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 10 years of construction management or related experience

The base pay range for this role is $158,900- $238,400

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
