Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with clinicians, researchers, commercial leaders, data scientists, engineers, legal and contracting teams, and industry partners to help execute projects and advance strategic initiatives that support the mission and growth of Mass General Brigham Health Data Solutions.

Mass General Brigham is an integrated academic health care system, comprised of 16 member institutions, including Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Under the umbrella of the Diversified Businesses Group, Mass General Brigham Health Data Solutions (HDS) is a business unit charged with generating non-clinical revenue and margin through mission consistent activities.

Mass General Brigham HDS is responsible for leveraging the extensive clinical, imaging, and research data assets of the organization to help the med device, biotech and pharma sectors advance research and discovery efforts required to introduce new technologies and therapies to patient care. The HDS Senior Project Manager will provide centralized oversight and operational support across a portfolio of commercial and research-focused initiatives, ensuring the successful coordination of timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, and project workflows. This role will support both pre-contract and post-contract activities by managing the intake, tracking, prioritization, and progression of new customer opportunities, while also coordinating the planning and execution of active projects. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, stakeholders remain aligned, and operational processes continue to scale alongside HDS's growing portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, healthcare, business, engineering, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience working in project management within related environment
  • Team leadership experience required
  • Experience in the Healthcare, Radiological, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Medical Device industry is preferred
  • Experience working within an academic medical center, healthcare system, research institution, or life sciences organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data, clinical research, medical imaging, healthcare informatics, AI/analytics applications, or related technologies preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders in a complex organizational setting.
  • Experience supporting industry-sponsored collaborations, research partnerships, data licensing initiatives, or healthcare commercialization activities preferred.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Workfront, Microsoft Project, or similar tools preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, scientific, technical, operational, executive, and external industry stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Training and experience in project management methodologies; PMP certification preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects related to mission-consistent data, biospecimen, and technology collaboration opportunities with external partners, including oversight of timelines, resources, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the development, organization, and advancement of the Health Data Solutions opportunity pipeline by coordinating intake processes, feasibility assessments, opportunity tracking, and reporting activities. Partner closely with the Senior Manager to maintain visibility into prospective customers and collaboration opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, including facilitating meetings with industry partners and internal stakeholders, documenting action items and decisions, and driving accountability to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Support Principal Investigator-led data licensing and industry collaboration projects by coordinating stakeholder alignment, contracting milestones, project execution, and reporting activities. Serve as a central point of coordination between investigators, HDS leadership, operational teams, and external partners to ensure projects progress efficiently and in accordance with organizational requirements.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve project management tools (Smartsheets), templates, processes, and methodologies to support efficient project execution, operational scalability, and portfolio visibility.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, establish project priorities, monitor risks and dependencies, and facilitate resolution of project issues to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, timelines, dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries to provide leadership with visibility into project progress, resource needs, key milestones, and operational performance.
  • Ensure project documentation, data tracking, reporting, and operational records are maintained in accordance with organizational standards, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, stakeholder communication, and project delivery across the HDS portfolio.

Documentation and Reporting:

Develops, maintains, and organizes project documentation, including project plans, timelines, budgets, status reports, meeting summaries, and executive presentations. Ensures project records are accurate, complete, and readily accessible to stakeholders.
