Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to: • Serve in the lead technical role in the detailed development of urban roadway design projects • Perform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systems • Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity • Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed • Assume some project management duties as needed and have a fair amount of client interaction • Supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as needed • Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications • 8+ years project management experience (scope, schedule, budget) • Experience managing projects for clients in Alaska specifically the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. • Strong relationships within the Alaska A&E industry • Ability to promote delivery of all HDR services to clients and serve as a Project Manager and Lead Designer for transportation/roadway projects • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of key projects to support a positive client experience • Perform quality reviews of proposal and interview materials • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree • A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. • Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams • Project management skills desirable • Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans • Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
