Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Minimum Secret clearance required
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment
  • Experience with U.S. Space Force Weapon System Acquisition
  • Experience working directly for U.S. Space Force Senior Leadership (03-06)
  • Experience delivering on Taskers for U.S. Space Force Senior Leadership, Division Chiefs and/or Deputy Chiefs
  • Demonstrated history of managing communications between multiple U.S. Space Force Senior Leadership
  • Experience with U.S. Space Force Scheduling, Coordination and Planning across multiple squadron stakeholders
  • Project Management experience with IT Networking in multiple enclaves
  • Knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Experience with risk management, strategic planning, and change management
  • Strong understanding of stakeholder analysis
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Proficiency with project management software tools (EMPOWER, JIRA, Tasker Management Tracker or other government software such as MAR)
  • Approximately 10% Travel to U.S. Space Force Bases
  • PMP certification is desired

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Senior Project Manager, Infrastructure - Colorado Springs, CO

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, preferred local to Colorado Springs, CO, to support WWT's U.S. Space Force Portfolio. This individual will serve as a critical point of contact between internal teams and client stakeholders, ensuring that delivery, implementation, and operational excellence align with strategic objectives. Communication and relationship building is key. You'll play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end delivery and services across multi-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large complex projects with multiple work streams
  • Ability to create in depth WBS with interdependencies and a defined critical path
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills; Develop and execute an efficient internal and external communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the team
  • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders
  • Build and strengthen relationships with the customer and stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of resource plans ensuring effective resource allocation and distribution across portfolio of projects
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies.
  • Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology
  • Ensure profitable and successful execution of all assigned engagements as measured by regional goals and customer feedback
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope
  • Effectively create and execute risk management plans
  • Manage and analyze profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects
  • Understand and manage key project financial components to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Responsible for quality and timely execution of deliverables across projects
