We're looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or other related field.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required.
  • 15+ years of experience leading projects from a technical perspective (water, wastewater and stormwater conveyance including pump stations; wastewater treatment experience a plus)
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing water/wastewater utility systems, pipelines, pump stations, storage.
  • Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports and designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality reports and technical memoranda; preparation and sealing design plans and specifications; strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient working experience with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Power BI software.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic models, Civil 3D/Revit, and SpecLink..

About the Role

Our Water & Environment Market is seeking a Senior Project Manager with an engineering background to work on projects related to water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment. Our team of project professionals will provide you with support and flexibility, allowing you to produce high-quality work while maintaining a work-life balance. Our projects are engaging, challenging, and have a significant impact on the communities we serve.

As a Senior Project Manager (Engineer), you will:

  • Oversee all phases of project delivery, including pursuit strategy, client interviews, proposal support, project scoping, scheduling, team coordination, budget and change management, and quality assurance.
  • Provide clear direction to multidisciplinary teams, effectively communicate project goals, and promote collaboration to achieve successful outcomes aligned with client and firm objectives.
  • Independently lead and review planning and detailed design of infrastructure projects, such as water and wastewater conveyance systems, pump stations, and storage facilities, encompassing master plans, concept through final design, and bid-ready documents.
  • Execute and review design analyses including basis-of-design documentation, asset condition assessments, infrastructure siting, system modeling, and permitting.
  • Serve in key roles such as Project Manager, Engineer-of-Record, Technical Advisor, or Quality Control Reviewer to ensure technical integrity, schedule adherence, and compliance with industry and client standards.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market drivers and resource management to support operational goals, improve project delivery practices, and contribute to business growth.
  • Be recognized within the organization and industry as a credible leader with deep technical expertise and proven success delivering complex water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor, understanding client goals, and consistently delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
