POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and execute complex federal projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including a strong track record overseeing Design-Build (DB) or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) efforts. This role requires expert knowledge of federal regulations and compliance, exceptional leadership capabilities, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget—while ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

Project Leadership: Directs integrated DB/EPC project teams from pursuit through close-out to ensure alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.

Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinates with federal agencies, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to align deliverables and foster collaboration.

Budget & Resource Oversight: Develops and manages project budgets, forecasts costs, and ensures effective resource allocation and utilization.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensures full adherence to federal contract requirements (e.g., FAR, DFARS), proactively identifies risks, and implements mitigation strategies.

Scheduling & Milestones: Develops and maintains comprehensive project schedules, tracking milestones to meet project deadlines and performance objectives.

Team Leadership: Leads individual projects while mentoring, supervising, and motivating cross-functional project teams while fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, Quality and safety.

Reporting & Documentation: Provides and maintains detailed and timely status reports and project documentation to clients and senior leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

What You'll Bring

Experience: Minimum of 10 years managing State, Municipal and Federal government projects, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in complex and regulated environments. Ensure that customer service, Safety, Quality and efficiency are considered at every level of a project’s life cycle.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Management and a construction-based degree is preferred.

Certifications: PMP certification preferred; PMP, Six Sigma, OSHA 30 or other relevant certifications are a must.

Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with federal contracting procedures, compliance frameworks, and procurement standards (FAR, DFARS, 413, etc.).

Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Kahua, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Safety, quality and a servant leadership team building mentality is a must.

Security Clearance: Active or ability to obtain federal security clearance, and background check as required by project stipulations.

Supervisory responsibilities: Maintain individual projects from cradle to grave while assisting and leading additional project managers with workload efficiencies and customer deliverables. Ensure that Safety, Quality and customer relations are considered at every level of a project’s life cycle.
