Senior Project ManagerElford is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to join our growing teams in
Charlotte, NC and
Cleveland, OH. These leadership roles provide the opportunity to manage complex commercial construction projects across multiple market sectors, including healthcare, education, multifamily, commercial, and industrial construction. From preconstruction through closeout, you'll play a key role in delivering successful projects while building strong relationships with clients, partners, and project teams.
What You'll DoProject Leadership- Lead all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Develop and execute project strategies that support schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and project support staff
- Partner with field leadership to ensure alignment between project operations and field execution
- Drive accountability across project teams while fostering a collaborative culture
Client & Stakeholder Management- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and key project stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong client relationships that lead to repeat business opportunities
- Lead project meetings, presentations, and executive-level communications
- Manage expectations and proactively resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle
Financial & Operational Management- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial reporting
- Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and major procurement activities
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
- Collaborate with Preconstruction, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
Risk, Safety & Quality- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Champion safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the organization
What You BringEducation & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience
- 8+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Proven experience leading large, complex projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Experience managing project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Demonstrated success delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget
