Purpose

The Senior Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of Endless Surf projects globally, from contract execution through to operational launch and ongoing service activation. This role is accountable for delivering the Endless Surf wave lagoon system as a fully integrated subsystem within client-led developments. It combines project delivery, technical integration, commercial ownership, and operational readiness to ensure each facility is successfully commissioned and fully operational on Day 1. Working within a fast-growing business, this role will also establish scalable project management processes, governance, and reporting frameworks, and support the development of a global project delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities - What You'll Be Up To

Program & Project Ownership
  • Lead multiple global projects from contract handover through to Day 1 operations
  • Translate commercial agreements into executable delivery plans and manage associated risks
  • Align Sales, Engineering, Clients, and Delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes
  • Coordinate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of design, procurement, and delivery
  • Drive performance across schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Drive performance against key metrics: schedule, budget, margin, and customer satisfaction


Construction Oversight, Commissioning & Training, Subsystem Delivery & Technical Integration
  • Deliver the Endless Surf wave lagoon system, including:
    • Design coordination and technical documentation
    • Procurement, supply, and delivery of mechanical and electrical equipment, aligned to project schedules and commercial milestones
    • Ensure alignment between Endless Surf requirements and client-led civil, structural, and MEP works
    • Oversee contractor execution to ensure compliance with Endless Surf specifications
  • Commissioning, testing and signing off for wave lagoon system, including client training
  • Integration of proprietary software systems in support of day 1 launch


Operational Readiness & Facility Launch
  • Drive full readiness for facility opening, including:
    • Systems functionality and integration
    • Coordination with client operational teams and vendors
    • Support POS and booking system implementation
    • Ensure successful transition from delivery to live operations, with accountability for Day 1 readiness

Commercial & Financial Management
  • Own project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance
  • Ensure timely execution of:
    • Milestone billing and invoicing
    • Equipment billing at point of shipment
    • Change orders and cost recovery
  • Lead procurement of Endless Surf equipment and ensure alignment with project delivery timelines and contractual commitments
  • Approve vendor invoices and manage procurement execution
  • Ensure timely collection of receivables
  • Monitor procurement activities and support margin optimization
  • Support activation and transition to ongoing service contracts and recurring revenue


PMO Development & Governance
  • Establish and implement project management standards, tools, and reporting frameworks
  • Introduce governance structures including risk management, stage gates, and performance tracking across all projects
  • Provide clear portfolio-level reporting to leadership

Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, contractors, and partners
  • Manage complex, multi-party stakeholder environments
  • Lead issue resolution and escalation to maintain project momentum

Qualifications & Experience - Hard Skills Qualify You
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) required)
  • 12-15+ years in project/program management in construction, infrastructure, or complex systems delivery
  • Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary systems within larger development projects
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning and operational launch of facilities or systems
  • Strong commercial acumen, including contract execution, cost control, and cash flow management
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or related field (P. Eng an asset)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in project tools (MS Project, Excel, SharePoint; ERP experience an asset)
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required
