Full Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial and multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with a commercial general contractor or construction management firm and a proven ability to lead complex projects, mentor project teams, manage financial performance, and drive successful project execution.
Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial and multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, forecasts, and execution strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration, change orders, and project execution.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing, profitability, and overall financial performance.
  • Partner with Superintendents and field leadership to maintain schedules, resolve issues, and support successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout every phase of construction.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reporting, scheduling updates, and client communications.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, industrial, or institutional construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Previous experience working for a commercial general contractor or construction management firm is required.
  • Proven success managing project budgets, scheduling, procurement, contracts, change orders, cost control, and financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, contract administration, and project delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience leading project teams while coordinating field operations, subcontractors, consultants, and design professionals.
  • Local Memphis-area candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Candidates whose experience is primarily residential homebuilding or small-scale residential construction will not be considered.
  • Must successfully complete professional reference checks and a pre-employment drug screening.
