Senior Project Manager | Civil Engineering (Water Infrastructure)

As our Senior Project Manager on our Water Infrastructure team in Roseville, CA, you will lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects (capital programs, system expansions, and rehabilitation efforts) that support communities throughout California. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams, strengthen client partnerships, and drive business development efforts that contribute to the continued growth of our practice.

This position is ideal for a seasoned leader who combines technical excellence with a passion for mentoring teams, developing client relationships, and delivering impactful infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead water infrastructure projects while helping grow our team and client base.
  • Project Leadership: Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout California.
  • Client Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Business Development: Support pursuit planning, proposals, presentations, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Technical Oversight: Review engineering plans, specifications, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Project Management: Manage scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project performance.
  • Team Development: Mentor and supervise engineers and technical staff while fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Infrastructure Design: Provide expertise across pipelines, pump stations, water production wells, reservoirs, and lift stations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
  • 15+ years of experience managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience delivering water and wastewater projects throughout California.
  • Strong leadership, business development, and team-building skills.
  • Experience designing pipelines, pump stations, water production wells, reservoirs, and lift stations.
  • Experience supervising engineers and designers.
  • Experience preparing technical specifications, engineer's estimates, schedules, and proposals.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with water system master planning and hydraulic modeling.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, and related engineering software.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic growth initiatives and multidisciplinary teams.
