Overview

Senior Project Manager:Bowhead is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an upcoming effort in McLean, VA. This effort establishes and implements policy, budget, program management, and administrative mechanisms to support a nationwide research, development, and technology program. This effort also develops and executes a comprehensive RD&T communications and marketing strategy to promote research and technology initiatives.

 

The Sr Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of complex, high-visibility projects, a portfolio of tasks, and projects in a busy research communications and publishing office

Responsibilities
  • Strategic planning, resource allocation, and direct coordination with Government Contracting Officers (COs), Technical Representatives (CORs), Task Managers, and Researchers.
  • Ensures all deliverables are met on schedule and within budget while managing risk and performance metrics
  • Responsible for Quality Control Plan (QCP) implementation.
  • Ensures that staff are updating the submission and project tracking system to enable customers to see the status of their projects.
  • Oversight of transition activities.
  • Responsible for monthly status reports and bi-weekly Government meetings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related technical discipline. Master's preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams, managing marketing and communications; and supervising the publication of technical information from concept to final product from one-page flyers to 300+ technical reports; presentations; videos; online tours; social media; and other communications collateral.
  • Transportation experience, especially highway and surface transportation is preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for a Public Trust clearance at this location.
