Sr. Project Manager / Architect

New York, NY | On-site | Full-Time

Position Overview

We're looking for a Sr. Project Manager to join our Architecture team. In this role, you'll lead and manage multiple new or restoration and rehabilitation projects across New York City. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution from investigation through close-out.

What You'll Do

  • Lead medium to large-scale architectural projects with minimal supervision.
  • Manage restoration, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and ground-up new construction projects from investigation through construction administration.
  • Maintain client relationships and act as primary liaison for project communication and documentation.
  • Consult across all project phases including investigation, design, budgeting, documentation, filing, construction administration, and close-out.
  • Consult on roofing and sub-grade waterproofing portion of the project.
  • Oversee the production of technical drawings and project documents, including but not limited too, facade system design and detailing, specifications, AutoCAD drawings.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications and NYC building codes.
  • Troubleshoot project-specific issues and implement timely solutions.
  • Review shop and site inspection reports.


What You'll Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, façade restoration, building envelope consulting, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading both existing building restoration/rehabilitation projects and ground-up new construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects from investigation through construction administration and close-out.
  • Working knowledge of NYC building codes and filing processes.
  • Strong technical writing, client management, communication, and organizational skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience with adaptive reuse and conversion projects, including commercial-to-residential conversions.
  • NYC DOB Scaffold User Certification (4-Hour Supported and 16-Hour Suspended).
  • FISP experience and knowledge of façade compliance requirements.
  • Registered Architect (RA) license or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software.


Work Environment & Schedule

  • This position is based in New York, NY, with an on-site schedule.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
  • Travel requirements: Fieldwork expected ~25% of the time.

  • Salary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00, based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
