Full Job Description
In this role, the successful candidate will assist in delivering environmental solutions for both private and government sector clients, particularly on hazardous waste sites. Amentum employs advanced engineering and technology solutions to the most significant challenges to make the world safer, more secure, and cleaner by eliminating environmental hazards to create a secure and vibrant future. The ideal candidate will lead complex projects and contribute to sustainable solutions. Responsibilities include leading and managing remediation projects, developing and implementing remedial action plans, overseeing earthwork components, conducting site assessments and field activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing technical reports, mentoring junior staff, interacting with clients and agencies, and staying updated on industry best practices. - The experienced Remediation Project Manager will lead and manage environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory programs including Pennsylvania's Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Act (Act 2), Storage Tank Program, Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and others - Support proposal efforts across a wide-range of scopes and markets - Experience in proposal development (scope, schedule, budget) and demonstrated ability to manage projects safely and efficiently - Manage projects from inception to completion with regulatory compliance and ensuring timely, on-budget execution and maintaining project controls throughout - Work with and lead a project team consisting of technicians, scientists, and engineers to meet project objectives and maintain client satisfaction - Prepare remedial work plans and remedial investigation reports, cleanup plans, and final project reports - Excel at communications, ensuring all stakeholders are consistently informed on project progress and execution - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience with earthwork projects a plus, including understanding of waste management, disposal, and fill requirements - Manage a variety of subcontractors, ensuring quality and delivery - Demonstrated business development and client management experience desired Required Qualifications Minimum required qualifications include a Bachelor's degrees with 15 + yr experience in environmental remediation and a strong background in earthwork projects, Master's degrees with 10 yr experience, or PhD degrees with 8-yr experience. Experience in environmental remediation projects, with a background in earthwork is preferred; Active PE or PG licensure in good standing is preferred but individuals with the ability to obtain professional licensure will also be considered. Experience managing complex projects and navigating regulations, proficiency with environmental software and tools, understanding of geotechnical principles and remediation techniques, , excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are also essential for the selected candidate. A 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is preferred. A valid driver's license is required as is a willingness to travel. Salary Range: $150,050 - $190,019 Additional Note: Work Environment: The role combines office work with periodic field assignments that may require occasional travel with overnight stays.
