Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Management Director for Retail Business Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight for operational performance, business processes, and execution across a national retail real estate portfolio. This position serves as a critical bridge between business strategy and operational execution, ensuring teams, programs, and resources are aligned to achieve client and organizational goals.
This role is part of the Program & Project Management function and is responsible for supporting business performance through operational leadership, program governance, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position partners with cross-functional leaders to enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and drive measurable business results.
The Senior PM Director will help shape operational strategy, establish best practices, and oversee initiatives that strengthen collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
What You'll Do- Develop and implement business operations strategies that support client objectives and organizational priorities.
- Lead operational planning, execution, governance, and performance management initiatives across the retail portfolio.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational improvement.
- Establish reporting frameworks, dashboards, and performance metrics that support business decision-making.
- Drive accountability and consistency through standardized processes, procedures, and operational controls.
- Facilitate collaboration between Real Estate, Finance, Procurement, Insights, and Project Management teams.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect business objectives and client deliverables.
- Lead high-impact projects and business transformation initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Mentor and develop operational leaders while promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support business development efforts and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Demonstrated experience leading business operations, strategic initiatives, or enterprise-level programs.
- Strong knowledge of operational governance, business process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Ability to analyze complex business and financial information to support strategic decision-making.
- Proven leadership experience in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing operational reporting, metrics, and performance improvement strategies.
- Ability to influence organizational change and drive adoption of business initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- PMP, LEED AP, CCM, or related certifications preferred.
