Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to lead and support engineering projects from concept through execution and delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing technical activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The Senior Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, clients, vendors, and project managers to drive successful project outcomes while providing technical leadership and engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects through all phases, including planning, design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and external vendors.
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, customer requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Identify project risks and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution during project execution.
• Manage change requests and technical modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project presentations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Manufacturing, Software, or related discipline).
• 7+ years of engineering and project execution experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and engineering processes.
• Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
• PMP, CAPM, Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience working with global teams and external customers.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance standards.

Technical Skills

• Project Management Tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Primavera, or equivalent)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Engineering design and documentation tools relevant to the domain
• Risk management and issue tracking
• Data analysis and reporting

Mandatory Skills: Industry 4.0.

Experience: 5-8 Years.

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $160,000 .

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
