Job Description:

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the project planning, cost and schedule, controls methods procedures, and systems for major construction projects at Marigold. The areas of projects includes the disciplines of cost control, schedule, change management, progress and performance reporting. This role involves planning, designing, budgeting, and coordinating technical projects, ensuring smooth integration between engineering, design, permitting, and budgeting activities. The Senior Project Engineer will work closely with third-party consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality study outcomes that inform project execution strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and guidance for contract scope development, tendering, and award processes.
  • Manage third-party Engineering Design Consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for defined project scopes.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and supporting the development of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests.
  • Contribute to budgeting efforts, including capital, operating, and project-specific cost estimates.
  • Oversee contractors individually and through site supervision, ensuring compliance with safety and performance expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical services, environmental, metallurgy, and capital project teams to integrate engineering, design, permitting, and construction activities.
  • Support environmental initiatives by incorporating best practices for sustainability, reclamation planning, and regulatory compliance into project planning.
  • Manage specific operating and capital projects under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor performance to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule spending time at the field mainly during project construction.
  • Verify contractor and company equipment for suitability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the development of project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for RFP submissions.
  • Lead by example in safety and environmental compliance, fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Provide supervisory oversight as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
