Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Spec Gas Engineering team is focused on comprehensively owning, commissioning, maintaining, supporting, and improving specialty and bulk spec gas operations at the Samsung T1 site. As a part of the Gas Systems team, you will provide support by interacting with the on-site contract operations team. The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for managing commissioning activities, cross-functional coordination and managing gas turn-on schedules. Working with fab engineering (unit parts) to provide regular updates and ensure on time commissioning/ gas turn-on for assigned equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Commissioning and startup new equipment installations.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and safety, while also reducing cost.
  • Evaluating future scenario planning including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting.
  • Implementing standardization methods across equipment fleet (work processes, alarm management, 6s principles).
  • Optimizing PM (preventative maintenance) strategies for aging assets to minimize risk of unexpected failures.
  • Improving process control and monitoring methods to ensure a robust proactive approach to sustaining large equipment sets.


Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ year's direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems.
  • Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.

The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
