Full Job Description
What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Senior Environmental/Civil Engineer for our Orlando office to work on various civil, solid waste and environmental related projects. You will prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications and serve as the Engineer of Record on projects for public and private clients primarily in the South Florida market. Responsibilities include engineering design, client communications, and staff coordination and development. Project responsibility will have a primary focus on stormwater and other development projects, with some future opportunities on solid waste management projects, including landfill gas, landfills and landfill infrastructure, which all may require design, engineering, permitting, construction, and operations support. This position may have the option for hybrid flexibility but is expected to be in our Orlando office.

  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications related to paving, grading, and drainage design.
  • Write and prepare technical reports and proposals.
  • Act as a client liaison by communicating with clients regarding field work coordination, project updates, reporting, design document status, permitting status, and meetings.
  • Lead permit processing and regulatory agency coordination efforts.
  • Review technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.
  • Serve as the primary lead and point of contact for smaller-scope projects.
  • Prepare proposals and associated cost estimates.
  • Delegate portions of project deliverables to staff for completion.
  • Coordinate and manage field work associated with projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage junior-level staff.
  • Attend trade shows, present on technical topics, and participate in professional associations and committees.
  • Lead or actively participate in client prospecting and the development and execution of client plans, sales plans, and key opportunity plans.

Pay Range

USD $96,475.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
