Job Description:

SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER for the City of Ketchikan/KPU Public Works Engineering division. Regular, full-time; Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; $8,626.71 - $12,149.68/month DOQ; plus benefits. Performs advanced professional level duties in support of the City's engineering services, including designing and providing construction engineering services for streets, sewers, solid waste facilities, ports and harbors, buildings and other public facility projects. Oversees and leads assigned engineering staff, reviews plans, designs, and specifications of streets, sewers, solid waste facilities, ports and harbors, buildings, and other public facility projects to ensure compliance with current industry practices, codes, regulations and ordinances. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or related field; Five years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience and possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska required. Position is open until filled.
