The
Senior Project Controls Engineer supports large-scale engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and nuclear energy projects, including the SMR-300 program. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting integrated project schedules, cost performance, and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to support project execution and management decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:- Works with the appropriate Project Director(s) in the establishment of project controls governance for projects.
- Establish and enforce disciplined scheduling standards, including work breakdown structures (WBS), coding structures, calendars, logic development, and baseline control, to maintain realistic, executable plans that reflect actual field and engineering progress
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules utilizing Oracle Primavera P6.
- Establish and maintain project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and schedule coding structures.
- Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules.
- Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk evaluations.
- Facilitate schedule update meetings and maintain baseline schedules.
- Implement and support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
- Calculate CPI, SPI, EAC, VAC, and performance variances.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, and forecasts.
- Develop executive dashboards and performance reports.
- Support project audits, assessments, and customer reviews.
- Mentor junior project controls personnel and schedulers.
Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive Project Controls experience
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on Primavera P6 scheduling experience
- Minimum 5 years of Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Experience supporting large-scale EPC, industrial, defense, energy, or nuclear projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- PMI-SP certification preferred
- AACE PSP or CCP certification preferred
- Experience supporting DOE, NRC, DOD, or nuclear projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to interface effectively with executive leadership and technical teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities
Compensation:- Annual compensation based on skills and experience ranging from $140,000 to $160,000
