Job Description

GPLA, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant who will deliver comprehensive financial oversight for projects by ensuring accurate accounting, timely reporting, and adherence to organizational standards. They will support project success by analyzing moderately complex financial data, identifying risks based on precedent, and recommending solutions to maintain budgetary alignment. They enhance decision-making by preparing clear, actionable financial reports and analytics.

The Senior Project Accountant strengthens organizational performance by driving continuous improvement in project accounting processes and controls. They also influence project accounting leading practices by collaborating across teams and providing guidance to peers and less experienced team members. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Manage moderately complex project accounting activities with large-scope, including budget tracking, cost analysis, and revenue recognition, to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Review project budget, costs, reports, and forecasts based on independent judgment and comprehensive project accounting experience.
  • Analyze the financial performance of projects by identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve moderately complex or varied accounting issues and support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies in all project financial activities.
  • Support less experienced team members in resolving moderately complex project accounting issues and provides technical expertise on project accounting guidelines and processes.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting operations.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
