Full Job Description
What this job involves:

JLL is seeking an experienced Senior Program Director, Capital & Sustainability Initiatives to lead the full Special Projects program portfolio for a key institutional client. In this role, you will have end-to-end oversight of initiatives including large-scale LED lighting upgrades, energy efficiency programs, sustainability efforts, and capital projects across a complex, multi-site portfolio. This position is responsible for developing and implementing the overarching program strategy in partnership with account leadership and the client. You will be instrumental in driving measurable results and shaping a brighter way by leading a high-performing team to deliver complex projects that align with our client's strategic and sustainability goals.

***This role will require 2-3 days/week onsite at a client site in Salt Lake City, UT.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, execution, and governance for all Special Project initiatives, ensuring every program operates under a unified set of standards.
  • Direct the RFP and vendor selection process for design-build and turnkey service providers, negotiating contracts and managing strategic partner relationships.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing program management team, establishing standardized processes and fostering a culture where everyone is empowered to thrive.
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor and program liaison for executive-level client stakeholders, presenting performance insights and building trusted relationships.
  • Develop and manage initiative budgets, financial models, and reporting frameworks to ensure all projects deliver measurable ROI and sustainability outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in program delivery, analyzing data to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and procurement, leveraging what sets JLL apart-our culture of collaboration.
  • Ensure all projects maintain full compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, while driving a zero-incident safety culture.


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in program management, project management, or facilities management.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for managing teams and complex, multi-site programs.
  • Proven success managing large-scale programs with annual budgets exceeding $10M.
  • Deep expertise in vendor procurement, contract negotiation, and performance management.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to influence senior executives and diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience communicating with executive-level audiences.
  • Proven experience with energy efficiency programs, LED lighting retrofits, sustainability initiatives, or similar capital projects.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to conduct site visits, including walking job sites and inspecting facilities.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • PMP, PgMP, or an equivalent program management certification.
  • Experience in commercial real estate, corporate facilities, or institutional property management.
  • Technical knowledge of design-build delivery methods, building systems, and energy codes (e.g., Title 24, ASHRAE, LEED).
  • Familiarity with EV charging infrastructure and other emerging energy technologies.
  • Proficiency with program management tools, financial modeling, and data analytics.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset with a track record of delivering measurable results on time and within budget.
  • A personal commitment to safety and quality, with a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship
