Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to support the Defense Nuclear Weapons School (DNWS), Kirtland AFB, NM. This full-time, on-site role is vital to advancing the Defense Nuclear Weapons School's training and education portfolio and providing program oversight of an Advise and Assist (A&AS) contract. This candidate will serve in a department-level leadership role enabling the DNWS to fulfill and develop its mission to provide training and education to the Department of War and interagency partners.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Providing Senior Support to Defense Nuclear Weapons School Leadership by advising on and contributing to the development of department strategy and operations as well as facilitating stakeholder engagement among the department's partners and higher headquarters.
  • Supervises 8 direct reports and works with partners to manage performance of 3 additional staff while overseeing the execution of a $1.5 Million Dollar A&AS portfolio comprised of a model of services that include Administrative Support, Program Management Support, Training and Education Delivery, Web-based software application management, Property and Equipment Management, Facilities Management, and Training Areas Management.
  • Translates client requirements into operational objectives for A&AS team members and liaises with client to track the execution and development of the A&AS portfolio ensuring client goals are achieved.
  • Produces briefings, analyses, and other communications deliverables to enable the client to communicate requirements and accomplishments to Higher Headquarters.
  • Contributes to organizational culture and climate by enabling interdepartmental communications through all calls, working groups, town halls, meetings, and communiques.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. national security, international relations, policy studies, or strategic studies) with over 10 years of experience
  • Relevant experience should be in national security, strategy, joint planning, analysis, and assessments within the Defense or Federal Government sectors.
  • 5 years of program management or project management in federal or national security settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement across a diverse set of partners and contributors.
  • Active DoW Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to produce polished, client ready documentation and briefings and deliver comprehensive written and oral reports.
  • Experience in research, writing, and analysis with the ability to develop professional reports, briefings, and policy-relevant documents.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
  • Understanding of policies governing the United States Nuclear Enterprise

Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with DTRA, DOE/NNSA, Combatant Command or another nuclear enterprise-focused military or government organization.
  • Project Management Professional certification or related experience in managing initiatives across milestones.
