Job Title: Senior Professional, EHS Specialist

The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss is currently hiring a Senior Professional, EHS Specialist. The Senior Professional, EHS Specialist supports EHS program execution, compliance, inspections, training, incident investigation, risk reduction, environmental controls, and safety culture for the Utica liquid-cooling manufacturing and distribution site, within our rapidly growing Data Center Business Unit.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support EHS programs, compliance activities, inspections, audits, procedures, training, corrective actions, and regulatory documentation.
  • Conduct safety walks, risk assessments, ergonomic reviews, hazard identification, environmental checks, machine/process reviews, and follow-up verification.
  • Support incident investigations, near-miss reviews, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention activities.
  • Maintain EHS records, training logs, inspection documentation, incident data, SDS/chemical records, waste records, and regulatory compliance files.
  • Support emergency preparedness, PPE programs, machine safety, lockout/tagout, chemical management, waste management, spill prevention, and contractor safety.
  • Assess EHS risks related to pressure/leak testing, compressed air, coolant or process fluids, machining fluids, metal finishing chemicals, packaging materials, forklifts, racks, docks, and material handling.
  • Partner with Engineering on equipment installations, layout changes, guarding, ergonomics, ventilation, noise, chemical storage, and new process risk assessments.
  • Partner with Operations and Supervisors to reinforce safe work practices, observations, training completion, action closure, and employee engagement.


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, environmental science, or a related field required.
  • EHS experience in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, machining, chemical, or industrial operations preferred.
  • Experience with OSHA-based safety programs, environmental compliance, incident investigation, risk assessment, training, and audits preferred.
  • Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
