Objective: The Senior Production Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for production and maintenance activities to ensure maximum production output. This position recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

Essential Functions - Design and improve systems and processes for existing or new products.
- Confer with Production Manager to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish production schedules and sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving, and process improvement activities.
- Investigate production and process issues, providing technical support and training.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist in developing plant layout and planning rearrangement of facilities, equipment, and operations for better utilization of space.
- Design training programs and technical guides for production and maintenance staff.
- Source new equipment and material suppliers as required.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
- Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes.
Education & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including in a supervisory or training capacity
