Job Profile Summary

The Senior Production Analyst/Accountant, working under general supervision, is responsible for conducting and documenting complex production accounting assignments, leveraging data analysis for informed decision-making, conducting thorough reviews for precision, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within the Production Accounting function. Analyzes and records accounting transactions related to operated production and reports volumetric data to regulatory agencies. Collaborates with other team members, interacts with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations and Field personnel and regulatory entities. Responds to data requests, prepares reconciliations, maintains accurate records and other regulatory responsibilities.

Job Description
• Applies understanding of principles, theories, and concepts of production accounting to master data set-ups and analysis, volume allocations, reconciliations, and reporting of company operated production.
• Conducts a thorough monthly review, adjustment, and validation of allocations, ensuring precision and accuracy in production accounting processes.
• Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned production accounting processes, supporting continuous improvement within the Production Accounting function.
• Leverages data analysis skills to draw fact-based conclusions, provides recommendations for continuous improvement, interprets data for prompt decision-making, efficiently processes retroactive amendments to ensure accurate and timely production accounting within the organization.
• Responds to internal and external audit inquiries, provides prompt and accurate responses to uphold financial integrity and compliance with regulatory standards within the organization's production accounting framework.
• Recommends new control procedures and adheres to established control procedures to ensure compliance in the realm of production accounting operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of reconciliations, leveraging documentation procedures, and actively participating in business process optimization efforts to streamline production accounting processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in areas such as Production Accounting, Revenue Accounting or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
