Job DescriptionPerficient has a career opportunity for a
Senior Product Owner with Order Management experience to join our Commerce and Order Management Business Unit. This role is hybrid with some time spent working remotely, with travel and on-site client engagements as needed, or at a local Perficient office. Preference is for someone to be located in a city where we have a Perficient presence.
Job Overview:The Senior Product Owner will have complete responsibility for the day-to-day management of the engagement, including all aspects related to managing a development team, resulting in a successful delivery and a satisfied, reference-able client.
The Senior Product Owner role will focus on leading client interactions with Product Managers and business stakeholders, understanding both client business requirements as well as end-user functional requirements, and may manage multiple product owners that have delivery targeted towards a single product or solution. In situations where a Senior Product Owner is supporting multiple delivery streams, that person has sole responsibility and ownership of the product in its entirety.
Responsibilities- Define overall product strategy and validation criteria.
- Lead product vision and strategy and discovery efforts to identify product efficiencies and cross-product dependencies.
- Engage with stakeholders, clients, and product managers in scope definition and requirements refinement.
- Develop deep knowledge of users, formulating hypotheses & advocating product direction and roadmap.
- Model out business and process workflows in real-time.
- Act as the subject matter expert for your product; including awareness of the related technology stack and how the market and our customers use and extract business value from your product(s)
- Define product roadmaps and drive Planning Increment objectives.
- Assess risks and benefits of product enhancements and gain alignment with stakeholders, clients, and product managers
- Analyze product metrics and define continuous improvement initiatives to increase the Product's business value.
- Introduce new approaches and tool sets that will allow the product development team to better understand the solution criteria and requirements.
- Write robust user stories that show your understanding of the product, technical limitations, and personas. Specifically, with a focus on clear acceptance criterion and 'definiton of done' within each user story.
Technical Skills:- Experience with identifying and reporting on key performance indicators to help visualize efficacy of product enhancements
- Ability to define high-level business objectives and drive product roadmaps
- Comfort engaging with executive stakeholders in dialogue regarding product vision and business enablement
- Expertise in product backlog tools such as Rally and Jira
- Expertise in collaboration suites including Confluence and SharePoint
- Familiarity with UX knowledge and principles is beneficial
- Experience with detailed roadmapping techniques (MoSCoW, Pareto, Kano Model)
- Experience with Kibo Order Management, IBM Sterling Order Management and store fulfillment solutions, preferably with background in supply chain.
- Understanding of end-to-end order lifecycle functionalities
QualificationsThese are the minimum qualifications required for someone to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience
- 5 to 7 years of working experience as a Product Owner
- 2+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship and account management experience
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expected
- Strong communication skills with the ability to independently lead large scale discovery sessions
- Detailed oriented
- Experience in agile and scrum development organizations
- Certification - Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) is a plus.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880.
