JOB MISSION:

New Balance is hiring a Senior Product Owner to lead the future of our in-store technology experience. In this role, you will own key Store Systems platforms from strategy through delivery, guiding products from first implementation to multi-year global rollouts across markets.

You will be partnered with business and technology teams to shape product direction, prioritize high-impact work, and deliver scalable solutions that improve the experience for associates and customers. This is a high-visibility role for a product leader who combines strong commercial judgment, technical fluency, and execution discipline.

This position is based in Lawrence, MA, with on-site work in our Retail Technology Lab as needed for pilots, testing, and rollout initiatives, plus flexibility to work from home when appropriate.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Own and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Store Systems platforms.
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle delivery: discovery, MVP definition, validation, launch, and scale.
  • Translate business goals into prioritized epics, user stories, and release plans in Agile delivery models.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, QA, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
  • Define and track product and operational KPIs to guide decisions, measure value, and start at the early stage.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform strategic product direction.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels and build alignment across global teams.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and delivery risks through implementation and rollout waves.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Product Engineering, Business Systems Analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience owning digital products from implementation through scaled rollout.
  • Strong product sense and ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Hands-on Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban), including backlog ownership, prioritization, and sprint/release planning.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and writing/documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and align cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in retail technology, POS ecosystems, or omnichannel environments is preferred.
  • In-store retail experience is a strong bonus.

Lawrence, MA Corp Only Pay Range: $138,500.00 - $173,000.00 - $207,500.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
