Full Job Description
Senior Product Marketing Manager, Platform Strategy

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

Not based in Denver? We will offer a relocation bonus to help make your move to the Mile High City a smooth one.

What you will be doing:
  • Develop and maintain the IPN master narrative - the foundational commercial story that every PMM, seller, and marketer at Ibotta pulls from
  • Build and own the messaging architecture that defines how Ibotta describes itself across every commercial context - from top-level platform positioning down to capability-level claims
  • Own messaging governance - ensuring that Sales, SE, Demand Gen, and other functions operate within approved positioning and that commercial content reflects what PMM has approved as true
  • Define and evolve Ibotta's differentiation story against retail media networks, cashback alternatives, and in-house retailer programs
  • Own the unified data narrative - connecting Ibotta's publisher data, audience intelligence, measurement capabilities, and AI positioning into one coherent commercial story
  • Build and run a competitive intelligence program - monitoring the retail media and promotions landscape and translating competitive moves into positioning responses
  • Own the VOC program - synthesizing market, field, and customer intelligence into a quarterly narrative brief that keeps Ibotta's positioning grounded in market reality
  • Develop strategic sales narratives for enterprise-level commercial conversations
  • Support executive and investor-facing storytelling in partnership with the Head of Product Marketing
  • Maintain the commercial source-of-truth asset library - the core set of approved assets the field and marketing teams rely on
  • Embrace and uphold Ibotta's Core Values: Integrity, Boldness, Ownership, Teamwork, Transparency, & A good idea can come from anywhere

What we are looking for:
  • 8+ years of overall professional experience, with at least 4 years in Product Marketing, Brand Strategy, or Commercial Strategy roles.
  • Experience in adtech, retail media, or performance marketing required - candidates with backgrounds at DSPs, SSPs, retail media networks, or performance marketing platforms will be prioritized.
  • CPG experience required - either working at a CPG company or working closely with CPG clients. Deep understanding of how large CPG organizations buy, budget, and evaluate marketing platforms is essential for this role
  • Demonstrated ability to build platform-level positioning and narrative - not just feature-level PMM. Experience at a network, marketplace, or B2B2C company is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written communication skills - this role requires someone who can write real, strategic prose, not just deck bullets. Writing samples will be requested.
  • Experience building or owning messaging governance systems and commercial asset libraries.
  • Proven ability to synthesize across complex, interconnected product capabilities and translate that complexity into a unified commercial story.
  • Experience with competitive intelligence, market positioning, and VOC programs
  • Ability to distill highly technical platform and data capabilities into clear, persuasive narratives for C-suite and brand decision-maker audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with significant organizational change.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
