Full Job Description
Overview

Azure Customer Success Marketing helps customers get more value from the cloud investment they have already made. Our team owns the authoritative guidance Microsoft publishes for building and running on Azure, including the Cloud Adoption Framework, the Well-Architected Framework, and the Azure Architecture Center, along with the programs that put that guidance in front of the engineers and architects who need it.

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own how that guidance reaches its audience. You will build the layer that sits above the source material: the ebooks, technical papers, blogs, and video programming that take guidance spread across dozens of articles and turn it into something a practitioner can follow end to end. You will also host and produce our flagship Azure technical video series, a catalog of more than 220 episodes reaching developers, IT decision makers, and business decision makers. This role asks you to be genuinely technical and genuinely a marketer. You will write deep technical content yourself, working alongside subject matter experts rather than briefing them from a distance, and you will hold your own in architecture conversations with cloud solution architects, product teams, and engineering leaders. You will also own the campaign mechanics that carry the work: channel strategy, integrated marketing, measurement, and the vendor and production partners who help you scale. The portfolio is active and growing. A multi-part technical masterclass series is in production, the video show is moving to a fully produced format, and in-product and agent-driven guidance experiences are being built with engineering. You will inherit momentum and be expected to shape where it goes next.

Responsibilities
  • Own the marketing strategy for Microsoft's authoritative Azure guidance, turning framework content into material that engineers and architects can act on.
  • Write and co-author long-form technical content, including ebooks, technical papers, blogs, and narrative overviews that sit above the source documentation.
  • Host and produce Microsoft's flagship Azure technical video series. Identify and recruit the subject matter experts who appear, shape the topic slate, and carry a technical conversation on camera without a script.
  • Direct the program manager, subject matter experts, and production partners behind a multi-part technical masterclass series, and stay accountable for the land: getting the right material into the right channels in front of the right audience.
  • Design and run mid-funnel campaigns that move a technical audience from awareness to action across owned channels, community, social, and field motions.
  • Land guidance through integrated marketing, customer success teams, technical workshops, and partner channels.
  • Own the public web presence for Azure guidance, including refreshes to the landing experience and the metrics that show whether people are finding and using what is published there.
  • Shape in-product and agent-driven guidance experiences with engineering and product teams, and build a prioritized backlog that links each customer task to its authoritative source and to the surface that delivers it.
  • Manage lifecycle communications for published guidance, including deprecation, end-of-life, and archive notices.
  • Coordinate messaging with adjacent product marketing teams so guidance stays consistent across the portfolio.
  • Brief and prepare the speakers who represent this guidance externally.
  • Define and track the measurement plan for the portfolio: video and livestream performance, content engagement, downstream service referrals, partner actions, and product usage signals.
