What's the role?

The Trust Experience Product Management team's mission is to provide transparent, seamless and deeply human experiences for buyers and sellers during enforcement. We believe that marketplace integrity is about building an empathetic ecosystem where users understand the rules, have a voice when they disagree, and trust their accounts are protected, all while meeting global regulations and privacy standards.

As Senior Product Manager for Trust Experience you will:
  • Be responsible for prioritizing, defining and executing initiatives that enhance user transparency and data control, while building intuitive and high quality user experiences.
  • Develop product strategies that bridge Legal and Product goals, balancing user privacy, business objectives and compliance.
  • Navigate complex trust scenarios independently and make decisions that balance customer trust, UX, legal requirements and business needs.


This is a full-time position reporting to the Group Product Manager for Trust Experience. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States. Candidates living within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office Hub may be the first to be considered. For candidates within commutable distance, Etsy requires in-office attendance once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office.   • Trust and Safety and Risk and Fraud are constantly evolving environments where we proactively detect fraudsters and listing abuse. The Trust Experience Initiative provides the crucial balance to detection systems, ensuring our members have fair treatment, an opportunity to learn from their mistakes, clear paths to appeal and control over their data, all while ensuring Etsy meets regulatory requirements.
  • This Privacy and Regulatory team partners closely with Privacy and Legal to build experiences that meet global regulations while remaining on brand for Etsy.
  • This team works closely with the Detection and Enforcement Initiative and Customer Support Initiative, Engineering, Ops, Analyst and Design teams.
  • This team is located in Dublin and the US, with partner teams also located in Mexico.


What does the day-to-day look like?
  • Own direction and outcomes by setting product vision, strategy and success criteria grounded in customer and business value.
  • Drive focus through evidence by prioritizing problems and opportunities based on potential impact, learning and strategic alignment.
  • Lead discovery by defining hypotheses, learning plans and decision points in partnership with cross-functional peers (including engineering, operations, design, and analytics and Legal).
