Senior Product Manager - Research Platform & Operations

This Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the Research Operations product area within the Trusted Research Environment, part of the Evidence team at Truveta, which develops a modern research platform enabling researchers to generate high-quality real-world evidence from one of the world's largest collections of electronic health record data.

Research Operations ensures that researchers and organizations remain informed and in control throughout the entire research lifecycle. It provides the shared platform capabilities that support every experience within the Trusted Research Environment, enabling transparency, governance, operational visibility, administration, auditing, cost management, and the operational metadata that captures the history and evolution of research over time.

As research becomes more collaborative, AI-assisted, and enterprise-scale, researchers and organizations need confidence that they remain informed and in control throughout the research lifecycle. They must understand what is happening, who performed actions, what changed, what work is running, what it costs, and maintain reliable audit trails for enterprise governance and regulatory requirements. As AI agents take on increasingly autonomous work, this need for transparency, governance, operational oversight, and cost awareness becomes even more critical.

You will bring together existing capabilities into a cohesive long-term strategy while identifying new opportunities to simplify enterprise research. You will partner closely with Engineering in both Seattle and India, Design, Security, Finance, Infrastructure, Customer Success, and other Product teams to build shared platform capabilities that enable the next generation of AI-native research.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex platform problems, simplifying enterprise workflows, and building products that help researchers and organizations confidently operate research at scale.

Responsibilities

Product strategy
    • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Research Operations product area.
    • Balance researcher experience with enterprise administration, governance, and regulated customer requirements.
    • Identify new platform capabilities that improve transparency, operational efficiency, and customer control across the Research Environment.

Platform ownership

Own and evolve the foundational platform capabilities that enable researchers and organizations to confidently operate research, including:
      • Identity, authentication, and access management
      • Organization administration and collaboration
      • Research operations and operational visibility
      • Cost transparency and resource management
      • Auditing, governance, and operational metadata

Product delivery

Lead products end-to-end, from customer discovery and strategy through implementation, launch, customer adoption, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with Design and Engineering, define requirements, support documentation and customer enablement, and measure customer impact after release.

Cross-functional leadership

Partner with Engineering, Design, Security, Infrastructure, Finance, Customer Success, and Product teams across Seattle and India to deliver shared platform capabilities. Establish reusable platform services, common patterns, and consistent experiences that scale across teams and accelerate development across the Trusted Research Environment.

Customer understanding

Develop a deep understanding of researcher, administrator, enterprise, and regulated customer workflows. Translate operational challenges into intuitive platform capabilities that reduce complexity while increasing transparency, governance, and customer confidence.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience delivering technical software products.
  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy and execute complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience building platform, enterprise SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or other highly technical software products.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around a shared product vision.
  • Experience working with healthcare, life sciences, clinical research, or another regulated industry, with an understanding of governance, auditing, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to simplify complex workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-informed decision making.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve product discovery, planning, and execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM), authentication, authorization, or enterprise administration.
  • Experience with governance, compliance, auditing, observability, or operational platforms.
  • Experience with billing, metering, resource management, or cost optimization.
  • Experience designing products for enterprise or regulated customers.
  • Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, platform services, or multi-tenant architectures.
  • Experience leading platform products used by multiple internal or external product teams.

We Offer:
  • Interesting and meaningful work for every career stage
  • Great benefits package
  • Comprehensive benefits with strong medical, dental and vision insurance plans
  • 401K plan
  • Professional development & training opportunities for continuous learning
  • Work/life autonomy via flexible work hours and flexible paid time off
  • Generous parental leave
  • Regular team activities (virtual and in-person)
  • The base pay for this position is $155,000 to $180,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target.
