Senior Product Manager - Payment Methods

Adyen is looking for a passionate Senior Product Manager to scale our Payments proposition that includes alternative payments such as wallets and banking payment methods across our fast growing suite of payments products in North America. As a Senior Product Manager in this team you will be given considerable freedom to advocate for the building the best emerging payment technology and improving our existing portfolio of payment methods.

Product Managers are in charge of delivering core payment product features to Adyen merchants. You will work closely together with other Adyen teams across the world, including Engineering, Partnerships, Implementation Management, In-Person and Online Payments, Compliance and Regulatory teams, and Commercial teams.

In this role you will:
  • Shape the strategy: Contribute to the multi-year product vision and roadmap for a key strategic pillar within Payments, ensuring alignment with Adyen's local and global goals.
  • Own end-to-end product development: Use your product sense and business acumen to identify impactful problems, define solutions, and drive them from idea to launch and iteration.
  • Drive discovery through collaboration: Engage deeply with merchants, engineers, and partners to uncover opportunities where Adyen is uniquely positioned to solve complex payment challenges.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Act as the internal champion for your product area, collaborating across commercial, development, legal, and operational teams to ensure seamless product delivery and alignment.
  • Leverage data to inform decisions: Work with the Data team to build visibility into adoption, performance, and impact, using insights to guide prioritization and iteration.
  • Scale products through influence: Collaborate with product partnerships and commercial teams to drive adoption and scale of your products across strategic partners and merchants.
  • Represent your product internally and externally: Act as the internal and external advocate for your product area, aligning stakeholders and driving clarity across teams.

Who you are:
  • Product Management - You have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in product management.
  • Customer centricity - You have a strong customer understanding
  • Strategic acumen - Proven experience in developing multi-year product strategies and translating them into clear, prioritized roadmaps that align with critical business objectives.
  • You build products not just features we are here to build for the long run and for true scale.
  • You are adaptable and creative - plans and conditions always change, but you still positively navigate the right course.
  • You can extract the 'bigger picture' out of a complex situation, and balance short term versus long term business needs.
  • Data-Driven focus - Strong analytical and results-oriented mindset, skilled in interpreting granular performance metrics (e.g., by region, industry, or merchant) to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Communicator - You are able to structure, deliver and communicate project plans in cross-functional teams with analysts and software engineers.
  • You're passionate about technology and not afraid to dive into technical issues
Location & Work Expectations
  • This role is based in Chicago.
  • Adyen values in-person collaboration, and we are an office-first company.
  • Some international travel will be required.
