You will work closely with our Specialty Health Network (SHN) and Digital Health teams to enable product enhancements that address the evolving needs of SHN programs, manufacturers, patients, providers, and colleagues.

The Senior Product Manager will demonstrate strong product and platform knowledge and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to define and deliver value through product capabilities and MVPs. You will be skilled at articulating complex strategic concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

The focus of this role is to drive strategic alignment, establish the long-term product vision and roadmap, and ensure that product capabilities and investments deliver meaningful and sustainable value to SHN.

Job Description
  • Work closely with Product Owners and senior leadership to translate strategy into action, breaking down broader SHN product goals into tangible, high-level initiatives and epics within the product backlog.
  • Actively contribute to and influence the product roadmap, ensuring it reflects SHN's long-term vision, strategic priorities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Own and prioritize a backlog primarily composed of epics, foundational capabilities, and architectural enablers, with prioritization driven by strategic impact, risk mitigation, business value, and long-term value to SHN.
  • Continuously evaluate and reprioritize backlog items to ensure the highest-value strategic initiatives remain at the forefront of execution, while balancing immediate feature delivery needs.
  • Define epics and high-level user stories with clear strategic intent, demonstrating how they contribute to broader product and business objectives.
  • Delegate and/or collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts on refinement and granular, feature-level story development and execution.
  • Engage with senior leadership, PMO, technical and IT teams, and program stakeholders to articulate the strategic rationale behind product and backlog priorities and secure alignment on key initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with product decisions, dependencies, and delivery, where possible.
  • Partner with SHN architecture and engineering leads to define and prioritize technical debt reduction and architectural initiatives that improve product scalability, maintainability, performance, and capacity for future innovation.
  • Critically assess feature requests and determine their alignment with product strategy, business value, urgency, and overall roadmap priorities.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with stakeholders and users to ensure product priorities continue to deliver meaningful value to the business and its customers.
  • Participate in program leadership meetings and support or lead product-related work, as appropriate.
  • Contribute to solution design in partnership with subject matter experts while ensuring alignment with the broader SHN strategy and product roadmap.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the end-to-end customer experience and identify opportunities to improve the experience across all aspects of the product journey.
  • Develop and continuously iterate on the digital product strategy, vision, and roadmap, enabling business teams to achieve their strategic and P&L objectives.
  • Define and continuously measure core product success metrics and use insights to identify opportunities to iterate on and improve product features, capabilities, and offerings.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives while researching and analyzing relevant client, industry, business, and technical considerations to support effective product decision-making.
  • Work with SHN and Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL) stakeholders to identify and support opportunities to integrate and streamline digital health strategies, improving product efficiency, value, and the colleague, patient, and provider experience.
  • Facilitate the sharing of local best and leading practices to support the spread, scale, and integration of successful digital and virtual health initiatives.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from users and stakeholders, translating insights into product opportunities, priorities, and development decisions.
  • Champion Agile and Product Management best practices while acting as a strong advocate for the customer throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Bring to This Role
  • Ability to think strategically and long-term, understand market dynamics, and identify opportunities to create differentiated value.
  • Strong ability to articulate complex strategic and technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior executives, technical teams, and SHN program management.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and the use of data and insights to inform strategic product decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and align cross-functional teams and stakeholders toward a shared strategic vision.
  • Strong understanding of the industry, customer base, and SHN's current and future business models.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to engage credibly with architecture and engineering teams on strategic enablers, technical direction, dependencies, and trade-offs.
  • Ability to identify and champion new opportunities that can help shape the future direction of the product.
  • Relevant experience in consulting, professional services, product management, digital health, technology, or a related industry role.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and writing skills.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: technology and IT operating models; IT governance models and processes; IT strategic sourcing; IT architecture and design, including information management, infrastructure, and applications; and Agile software development, implementation processes, and tools.
  • Professional certifications such as Scrum Master or other Agile certifications, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF, or related technology certifications would be considered an asset.
