Job Description:

As a Product Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams of Curriculum Specialists, designers, interaction developers, learning scientists, and marketers to dream up, design, and deliver transformative classroom experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Define the north star - set the vision, strategy, and 12-18 month roadmap for Literacy, PreK-5 (CKLA, Caminos, and Language Studio) that aligns with the company's long-term goals and product strategy while solving immediate customer pain points and contribute insights that shape the 2-3 year company's product portfolio vision.
  • Deliver business impact - set quarterly OKRs for your product area in partnership with the Director; hold yourself and team accountable for product-level outcomes. Monitor performance metrics and implement review cycles to ensure features drive customer retention, engagement, and revenue, and team success. Drive products through the stage gate process, owning deliverables and analysis for your product area. Partner with the Director on cross-product investment decisions.
  • Participate in planning - own and execute research initiatives, develop product concepts and plans to deliver business goals, create detailed release/execution quarterly plans with feature/task estimates in partnership with cross-functional team
  • Partner with Design - work with Design to create mission-aligned, feasible user experiences. Write clear, concise specifications and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Partner with Curriculum and Supply Chain - Partner with Curriculum to translate pedagogical best practice into engaging and rigorous print and digital product experiences. Collaborate with Supply Chain to define physical components and product specifications (e.g., binding types, paper weight, durability), balancing classroom performance/durability expectations, instructional quality standards, and brand and safety requirements, while achieving margin targets.
  • Be obsessed with your customers - passionately advocate for your users in all phases of product development. Conduct qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, observations) and quantitative analysis to deeply understand user needs and translate them into product priorities.
  • Leverage market intelligence - continuously analyze competitor curriculum offerings to identify gaps, differentiators, and winning features for the next edition/release. Observe industry trends and incorporate findings into future plans driving competitive advantage and differentiation.
  • Own end-to-end product delivery - lead products and the teams that create and enable them from ideation and requirement gathering to launch and post-launch iteration. Be ultimately accountable for product quality and scope, product and organizational readiness, PD strategy, and delivery timeline.
  • Lead product execution - lead ceremonies for multiple teams. Attend daily stand ups and work with APM/teams to ensure all blockers are resolved within 24 hours. Clearly provide broader context and goals to cross-functional teams for sprint plans and features.
  • Harness strategic influence - lead by influence, not authority. Align senior leadership and stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, CX) around your product vision, strategy and roadmap, and be the organization's "go to" person for your products and features.
  • Enable go-to-market success - partner with Marketing, Sales and CX to develop positioning, internal training, and external messaging that ensures a successful product launch and market performance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS, ed tech, or consumer tech environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required or combination of education and direct experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Startup and growth experience - you've thrived in fast-moving environments where priorities shift and ownership is essential.
  • Proven track record of delivery - you've managed the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products, from vision through launch and iteration.
  • A team leader - you inspire teammates, put structure around ambiguity, and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills - you're a great storyteller in words and writing. You can simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders and inspire confidence in leadership.
  • AI enthusiasm - you're comfortable shaping AI-powered experiences, partnering with technical teams to evaluate opportunities and bring them to market.
  • Technical literacy - you're comfortable working with complex technical domains and partnering with engineers to solve hard problems.
  • Experience with bilingual education and/or English language development education (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience working with supply chain operations and digital platform teams (preferred)
