Compensation: $120,000-$180,000 per year
Location: United States – Remote or Omaha, NE - Hybrid

The job: 
As a Senior Product Manager at Buildertrend, you’ll help shape the future of residential construction software. You’ll lead cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-impact solutions that simplify complex workflows and drive measurable results. Your work will impact how builders manage projects, communicate with clients, and grow their businesses. Success in this role means building strong customer relationships, guiding product strategy, and driving outcomes that make construction more efficient and transparent.

What you will do: 

  • Define a clear product direction, own the roadmap and prioritize work based on customer value and business impact.

  • Build tight feedback loops through customer interviews, jobsite visits, and usability testing, synthesizing patterns into actionable product decisions.

  • Validate opportunities through focused experiments and use insights to guide product decisions.

  • Partner with engineering and design as a unified team, ensuring shared understanding of customer impact and desired outcomes.

  • Establish success metrics, measure results and adjust strategies based on performance.

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success from discovery through launch, co-owning adoption and retention outcomes, and bringing field insights back into product decisions.

  • Get hands on with AI tools, including Claude, Lovable, and Copilot to accelerate prototyping, analysis, documentation, and experimentation.

Who you are and what you need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 5+ years of product management experience in B2B software.

  • Proven record of delivering products that improved adoption, retention, and revenue.

  • Experience using modern AI tools to improve workflows.

  • Strong product judgement and the ability to connect insights into outcomes.

  • Ability to make clear decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.

  • Systems thinker who understands end-to-end workflows and dependencies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
