Job PurposeThe Senior Digital Product Strategist is responsible for supporting the business and operations work stream within a multi-disciplinary digital product team structure. They ensure the product roadmap is aligned to business capabilities and priorities and have a pathway to deliver. They collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape the product vision, build the value case, define the future-state process vision, and lead change management efforts that ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
Key Accountabilities- Define future-state operations solution (process, org change), including detailed current state-process and future-state process documentation.
- Support business capability assessment, design, alignment and road mapping for product line with cross-functional teams.
- Develop/manage business case and benefits from initial business case development, financial approvals, updates to reflect roadmap, through to value delivery and benefit tracking.
- Track objectives and key results to assess benefit realization of products/initiatives.
- Support Business Owner and Product Owner with backlog prioritization to ensure the product backlog aligns to the business' vision and outcomes.
- Participates in team agile ceremonies including quarterly PI Planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives and daily stand ups.
- Drive change management and product roll-out plan, stakeholder engagement, communications plan.
- Provide support to product & technical workstreams (e.g., RFP support, stakeholder mgmt., value alignment, IT governance, IT PMO).
- Support preparation of materials for key stakeholder readouts (e.g., Sponsor Sync meetings) and regulatory engagements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering or relevant field.
- 3+ years relevant business experience.
- Experience working on digital product teams highly preferred.
- Experience designing and refining value case (e.g., financial value to the business, strategic value, etc.).
- Experience applying project management discipline to advance capital investment initiatives from concept through delivery, with knowledge of National Grid's Network Development Process highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital product implementation and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
- The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem solving.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies.
- Valid driver's license required.
