About Humanly

Humanly is revolutionizing talent acquisition with our AI-first recruiting platform, built to automate and orchestrate every step of the candidate journey-from first hello to final interview-across every channel.

We help mid-market and enterprise teams hire in days, not months, by engaging 100% of interested candidates and surfacing the best-fit talent faster. Our platform delivers speed, structure, and consistency at scale-so hiring teams can focus on decisions, not logistics.

We are a fast-growing Series A company and behind our tech is a team of bold, curious, and deeply human people. We move fast and build with purpose - for our customers, candidates, and each other. Our culture is built on collaboration, authenticity, and a shared belief that hiring can and should be better.

Our headquarters is in Bellevue, WA, but our team spans the globe.

The Role

Our founding designer has laid a strong foundation-design system, product patterns, and a human-centered culture. We're looking for a single, high-impact product designer to inherit that legacy, drive day-to-day design needs, and level up our user experience as we scale from Series A growth to our next milestones. This is a hybrid position (Tuesday - Thursday) based out of our Bellevue office, reporting directly to the VP of Product.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end product design cycle - from discovery and research through polished UI, prototypes, and dev hand-off.
  • Maintain & evolve the design system - keep component libraries healthy, introduce new patterns, and document guidelines so engineering can move fast with confidence.
  • Partner deeply with PM & Engineering - join weekly sprint planning, shape problem statements, and ship features that balance user value with technical constraints.
  • Champion understanding users - plan and conduct interviews, usability testing, and rapid feedback loops; turn insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Advance visual + interaction quality - raise the bar on typography, motion, accessibility, and micro-interactions across web and mobile experiences.
  • Mentor by influence - upskill teammates in design thinking; run crits, workshops, and design jams even though you're the only designer on the org chart.
  • Measure impact - define success metrics with Product Analytics and how other teams build products and iterate relentlessly toward them.
  • Prepare for scale - identify when and where we'll need additional design resources; play an active role in shaping future hires and processes.

What You'll Bring
  • 4+ yrs designing digital products end-to-end, ideally in early-stage or high-growth startups.
  • Portfolio showing shipped work that solves complex problems with elegant solutions-include situation, action, and impact.
  • Fluency and discipline in Figma (components, variables, auto-layout, dev-mode) plus prototyping tools of your choice (e.g., Framer, v0, Cursor, Lovable).
  • Comfort with lean research: moderated tests, unmoderated studies, and quick surveys.
  • Solid understanding of React/HTML/CSS fundamentals; ability to speak dev's language and spot feasibility issues.
  • Systems thinker who can understand the architecture of our current products and how it does or should impact the industry
  • Excellent communication and over-communication: you can defend design decisions with data, empathy, and concise storytelling.
  • Self-direction & prioritization: you thrive as a team of one, but never design in a silo.
  • Bonus: experience standing up or evolving a mature design system; exposure to B2B SaaS or data-heavy products.
What We Offer
  • Influence the future and help lead the way for ethical AI in recruiting.
  • Collaborate with a diverse and passionate team dedicated to transforming the hiring landscape
  • Competitive compensation + equity
  • Company sponsored medical, dental, and vision plans for employees
  • Learning & development stipend
  • Wellness stipend
  • 401(k) program
  • 12 weeks fully paid parental leave
  • Flexible PTO
  • Recognition programs and prizes
  • Summer Friday program
  • Company retreats and team building events!
