Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes.
- 5 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
Preferred qualifications:- 8 years of work experience in consumer product design.
- Experience shipping multiple consumer products in a lead or senior engineer role.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers around the world on part manufacturing and final assembly, including onsite factory support.
- Expertise in soft goods (textiles, leathers, elastomers), plastics, and metal design.
- Proficient in structural FEA, thermal analysis, and electronics integration, including bio-compatibility and reliability.
- Deep technical knowledge in multiple manufacturing methods used in consumer products.

Responsibilities- Partner with cross-functional teams (ID, PM, PgM, and manufacturing) to conceptualize and build new products.
- Oversee 2D/3D drawings, define tolerances, and manage organized Bills of Materials.
- Collaborate with device teams and external suppliers on assembly specs, system-wide design, and part manufacturing.
- Lead root cause analysis to resolve design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and implement corrective actions.
- Balance project requirements, including functionality, sustainability, human factors, and aesthetics, while maintaining thorough documentation.
